Share Kai and Kōrero is popping back up in July!
We’re excited to be partnering with Kohinga – St Albans Community Centre to bring you a series of cozy winter brunches on Saturdays in July.

Join us and connect with others over tasty food, learn about each other and share in the traditional cuisines of communities that call Ōtautahi home.


First up is the Nepali Share Kai group – Saturday July 1st 10 – 12pm midday.


Nepali Menu:
Chana Tarkari, black lentils and chickpeas cooked with potatoes, spices, onion, chili:
• With sel roti (gluten free and vegan) $7
• With samosa (vegan) $7


Momos (dumplings) vegan or chicken. Served with sesame, tomato and ginger sauce and chili sauce - 3 for $5 or 10 for $12


Masala Chai – black tea with spices, with or without milk $5 per cup


Eritrean Brunch Menu - July 8th:
Ful Medames, beans cooked with spices and served with onion, chili, tomatoes:
• Ful with feta cheese, chopped egg and pita bread $10
• Vegan Ful – served without feta cheese, chopped egg $8
• Gluten free Ful – served without pita bread $8


Ga’at (GA-AH-TAY), a type of savory stiff porridge made with water, milk, spices, and roasted barley and chickpea flour, formed into a round shape with a hole in the middle for a dipping sauce. Choose one of two dipping sauces: butter, yoghurt and chili, or ground entatie/flaxseeds. Vegetarian. $10


Kicha Fit Fit, shredded kicha (unleavened bread) mixed with spiced clarified butter and berbere spices, served with yoghurt. Vegetarian. $5.


Drinks
Buna – traditional Eritrean coffee, freshly roasted and boiled with ginger, black $3 per cup
Shahi – black tea with cinnamon and cardamon, with or without milk $5 per cup
